CERI-certified Structured Literacy Teacher; LETRS Professional Learning Facilitator

Kate Noonan has more than 22 years of literacy teaching and coaching experience in Chicago and Washington, D.C., schools. She holds a bachelor of science degree from Boston College and a master’s in education from Northwestern University’s School of Education and Social Policy. Currently the K-5 English Language Arts instructional coach at Garrison Elementary School in D.C. Public Schools, Kate is passionate about developing teachers’ knowledge of reading science, and about coaching schools and districts in structured literacy practices. Kate is a Center for Effective Reading Institute (CERI)-certified Structured Literacy Teacher and a local LETRS Professional Learning Facilitator.
